Intuitive Tag challenge

So I stumbled upon this challenge that has been floating about the blogosphre called The Intuitive Tag. It consists of 15 questions about intuitive ability and spirituality. Let’s give it a go :3 I will try not to spend too much time, instead answer straightforward off the top of my head.

1. Share your first paranormal experience that comes to mind.

Oh my. I tend to rant a lot about the word “paranormal”. I believe that the spiritual world is not some seperate, distant plane, but a *normal* and real part of the “regular” world. Sometimes naturally, or if not then with practice, it can be seen, heard, felt, as a regular thing. But I digress~! What came to my mine at this very moment is when I saw a glowing fairy in my Mom’s flower garden. Right in front of me, not disguised, not hidden, not fleeting, not subtle at all but glowing, and I could make out all the details. I remember most the wings like a dragonfly, and with an intricate pattern. I see them quite often, sometimes I seek them out, sometimes I notice I have company, yet this was beyond anything.

2. Have you ever had a premonition?

Yes, lots of times. Although I often write it off as “just my imagination” then… Damn I should have listened. I’m learning slowly.

3. When did you get your first Tarot or Oracle deck? What deck was it?

My very first “oracle cards” were actually elements themed playing cards. My first Tarot deck was the Tarot of the Gemstones and Crystals. I got them in my early teens. More on the beginnings of Tarot reading here.

4. What element do you connect with the most?

This is really difficult… I connect with all the elements in different, but equally deep and wonderful ways… I guess the final choice would be between water and air. I love the ocean, the broad horizon, the winds amd waves running free, the dark depth below, and the distance stretching to infinity, where sea and sky seem to touch and become one.

I also have a special connection to birds and sea creatures. I have conversations with them and look out for them. When I was small, I thought that one day Mom will teach me to fly too, just like my little feathered brothers and sisters outside… I cried a lot when she told me she couldn’t. Or when I found out that water is a “seperate terrain” from land, and is not totally accessible to my kind.

5. Do you believe in Faeries?

Yes ^_^ I have seen them many times, they indeed live all around~ I think some live even around my cactuses.

6. Do you prefer the Moon or the Sun?

I love them both… the Sun’s warmth and light is the bringer of life, the Moon is our companion in silent, magical nights… I don’t like the morning Sun, right after sunrise because it is too bright for my eyes.

7. What is your favorite Crystal or Stone?

Amethyst, Red Jasper and Onyx. Since ~1 year I have also been drawn a lot to Lapis Lazuli.

8. Can you see spirits/spiritual beings?

Yes, I can often see fairies, angels, guardians, guides, also the energy and aura of people. However, I am not a medium, I cannot see ghosts/spirits of the dead, nor do I want to. I prefer to let the dead be, and I guess they are also letting me be in return.

9. Would you rather be able to fly on a broomstick, breathe under water, make things grow fast, or control fire?

Waaaah can I have all please?? :3 If I can just choose one, I would breathe under water. I think my Mom has the earth witch powers, anything she plants grows beautifully, even if it was already half dead when she go it. Even neighbors’ plants creep over to her garden.

10. What is the animal totem that you feel most connected to?

As I said before, birds and water creatures have a special connection to me, especially the hawk and the falcon, and the turtle. Also cats. We attract eachother, understand eachother perfectly and they always show up everywhere on the streets when I am in need of comfort or encouragement.

11. What is your first animal/spirit totem?

Turtle. I grew up with a water turtle who is older than me, my parents got her as a present a few years before I was born. I have a feeling she was some kind of wise guide and guardian to me. I don’t see her as often now because she lives, along with her mate, with my parents.

12. Tell us about your first spirit guide?

See above answer. My guides tend to appear to me in form of animals.

13. Do you feel more connected to the stars or the Earth?

I feel connected to the Earth, she is my Mother in this life and many previous ones too, and Mother of so many beautiful forms of life… yet I also feel connected to the stars, I was fascinated with space travel and exploration since a very young age and am now studying for a degree that will help me contribute to it! I am sure that I have already been out there too many times… a wandering, old soul…

14. What is your preferred method of blessing/cleansing?

For new objects such as crystals, cards, etc: If it is not sensitive to water I will wash it first. Then leave it in the window for a night so any residual energies leave, before performing a blessing ritual.

For spaces: For cleansing, i will use eucalyptus oil, and sweep out anything unwanted, then set up a perimeter for the space to stay protected. For blessing, cast a circle and invite the Divine in to bless the space.

For living creatures: Sweeping their aura, sharing with them healing energy and inviting the Divine to bless them. I would love to learn Reiki one day.

(I hope I understood the question correctly)

15. What color do you feel most spiritually connected to?

Deep red and shades of purple.

These were 15 interesting questions to think about! For any spiritual minded blogger reading this, Tag! You’re it! Feel free to copy the questions and answer them on your own blog!

kitty hugs to all~

  1. So interesting regarding your “paranormal” experience. (I put it in quotes because, like you, I do see that particular aspect of life that we normally call “paranormal” as quite normal and natural. Not “super” at all. I think if Jesus descended down from the heavens and appeared in front of me with open arms extended on a cloud, then I’d finally go, okay, that was supernatural.)

I struggle with my thoughts on fairies, so this is a really cool story to hear about. Thanks for sharing.

I’m also really drawn to lapis btw.

    Loved reading this post!
