Tarot Card of the Week- 6 of Swords

hello~ in this ongoing series i aim to post the interpretation of a Tarot card every week. This interpretation is based on my study and experience of Tarot over the years. Ultimately, the interpretation of each card depends on the situation, so this description is of course not complete. hope you enjoy ^_^ kitty hugs to all~ Joouna~

the card of this week is: 6 of Swords

The 6 of swords is about moving on. It is about transitioning from rough waters to smooth. The situation at hand has been problematic, uncomfortable, harsh or negative, but this card signals that things will be changing for the better, and that the worst is now behind us.

It may be prompting us to take initiative and leave if we feel we are stuck in a negative situation. The resolution will materialise if we put a distance between us and the problem. Perhaps we have been trying to improve the situation in a proactive way, but we need to realise that right now the only answer is to distance ourselves and start new. This is not cowardice, but rather the ability to judge what actions will result in positive consequences.

This card also prompts us to reflect. Yes, the hard times are passing, but they should not be forgotten! What have we learned, how have we grown? We leave the situation behind but should take with us valuable wisdom and experience.

The 6 of swords can also indicate a journey away from the present situation on a physical level. Perhaps we will go on a trip. If our job or living place was very unpleasant, getting old or simply not right for us, it may signal a chance to move. Perhaps our whole life seemed to have hit rock bottom recently. In that case this card heralds the chance to leave it behind and have a fresh start, far away from the past. This can be on a physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual level, or all at the same time.

This period of transition may seem uncertain, and could be strongly wrought with emotions such as regret, depression or anxiety. However the 6 of swords is saying that you are in good hands, and you can safely trust that you are emerging from the gloom and going in the right direction.
